Job summary

SoFi in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build scalable data pipelines for Fraud Operations Analytics. You will consolidate data from multiple sources into Snowflake data marts and develop dbt models for analyst consumption, supporting Tableau dashboards and leadership reports.

You will collaborate with Fraud Data Engineering and the TDM platform team to design robust data structures, ensure data quality and performance, and set governance standards across the Fraud CoE.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data engineering with SQL, Python, and cloud data warehouses.
• Production-grade pipelines using modern data stack tools (dbt, Airflow).
• Strong data modeling for reporting and self-service.
• Translate requirements with analytics and business stakeholders.
• Strong documentation, data quality, testing and reliability.
• Exposure to dbt Cloud and Airflow/MWAA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines consolidating fraud data into Snowflake data marts.
• Collaborate with Fraud Data Engineering and TDM platform team on data buildout.
• Develop summarized metric tables for standardized reporting across fraud lines.
• Model analytical data in Snowflake to support analytics and dashboards.
• Build and maintain dbt models; support Tableau reporting layers.
• Ensure query performance, data freshness, and reliability across data mart tables.
• Partner with fraud analysts to translate data requirements into reusable structures.
• Maintain centralized reporting logic and governance standards.
• Document and test data assets to support audit/compliance.
• Act as a data engineering SME in cross-functional discussions.
