Job summary

Zifo seeks motivated data engineers to join the US Data Science team in North America. You will design scalable data pipelines, apply cloud-based infrastructure, and build analytics/visualization capabilities to empower pharma and biotech clients in their R&D efforts.

You will support decison-making with data-driven insights and contribute to growing the Zifo US Data Science function. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients, cross-functional teams, and adherence to FAIR data standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in data engineering / computer science or related field.
• Experience with scientific informatics solutions or background in biological science, chemistry, health sciences or life/health science industry.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for deploying and managing data infrastructure in the cloud.
• Experience with data-focused solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, Cloudera, Knime, Airflow, etc.
• Experience with AI/ML and data science libraries like Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace for preparing data for downstream AI/ML applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI and D3.js.
• Data engineering certifications from cloud platforms like Azure/AWS/Cloudera.

Responsibilities

• Identify business needs to determine data requirements.
• Clean, transform, and organize big data for analysis.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and insights.
• Develop data visualization tools to communicate insights.
• Provide consulting inputs for guidelines, standards and practices.
• Help stakeholders estimate, plan and prioritize data engineering work.
• Build relationships with clients and leadership teams.
• Help grow Zifo US Data Science business function.
