Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve the data lake and analytics stack supporting observability for a global hardware fleet. You will maintain Iceberg, Trino, Airflow, Spark, and Superset stacks, build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and deliver data-driven insights for leadership.

You will design data models, surface KPIs, and create visualizations while ensuring data accuracy, security, and performance across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar.
• Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and large datasets.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Hands-on with Airflow and big data tech (Spark).
• Experience designing data lake/data warehouse solutions with modeling and performance tuning.
• Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data services.
• Experience building and monitoring production ETL/ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines from various sources.
• Maintain and upgrade data lake infrastructure (Iceberg, Trino, Airflow, Spark, Superset).
• Manage ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming workloads.
• Create data models and data products for analytics and reporting.
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and executive-level reporting.
• Build visualizations and dashboards to surface KPIs and trends.
• Document runbooks and data governance practices.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate data into applications.
