Job summary

SoTalent is partnering with a leading global financial institution to recruit a Senior Data Engineer. You will help modernize the Investment Management data ecosystem, architect advanced data products, and build high-performance batch and streaming pipelines to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years in Data Engineering, Data Modeling, and Database Design.
• 5+ years with ELT methodologies and SQL tuning.
• 3+ years of professional experience in Python, Scala, or Java.
• 2+ years of experience with the Spark framework.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain ELT/ETL workflows to synthesize diverse data sources into a unified data asset.
• Define and implement data quality frameworks and monitoring tools for reliable financial information.
• Partner with Investment Management stakeholders to translate business needs into robust specifications.
• Collaborate on data modeling standards and evolve database architecture.
• Mentor peer developers and provide feedback on system design and documentation.
