NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer focused on data engineering for the FinOps team. You will design and run production data pipelines using Python, SQL and Databricks/Spark to support cost allocation, forecasting and optimization.

The role requires 12+ years of experience, strong Python/SQL, and hands-on Databricks/Spark expertise with data modeling. You will mentor engineers and lead data lifecycle governance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software or data engineering experience building and operating production data systems.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with tested code and debugging complex data transformations.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark and lakehouse technologies or similar distributed data platforms.
• Experience with data modeling, incremental processing, partitioning and schema evolution.
• Experience building cloud-based pipelines and integrating REST APIs with authentication and error handling.
• Track record of owning production reliability via automated tests, data quality checks, monitoring and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate production pipelines using Python, SQL and Databricks/Spark for cloud billing, SaaS usage and shared-service telemetry.
• Build reusable ingestion frameworks and data contracts for APIs and file-based sources, handling schema changes and late-arriving data.
• Develop cost, usage and ownership models for BU, platform and service allocation, with reconciliation to source records.
• Implement data freshness, completeness and accuracy checks, lineage and monitoring; diagnose incidents and automate retries and recovery.
• Optimize distributed processing, storage and queries for performance and cost.
• Own testing, CI/CD, safe deployments and runbooks for data services and production support.
• Partner with Finance and service owners to turn reporting requirements into clear data models and interfaces.
• Lead technical design, code reviews, mentoring, and apply access controls and auditability throughout the data lifecycle.
