D.A. Davidson Companies is seeking a Data Engineer to expand and optimize our data pipeline architecture and ensure reliable data delivery for complex data initiatives. This role works with data architects, analysts and end users on a variety of data projects in a financial services context.

You will design scalable data structures, implement automated processes, and collaborate across IT and business stakeholders. A hybrid cloud environment and strong SQL/Python skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience in an oversight capacity.
• Extensive domain experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud-based technologies in a hybrid architecture.
• Advanced T-SQL knowledge and end-to-end data pipeline development.
• Experience with data quality, metadata, and workload management.
• Experience with data integration tools and API services.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to work in an on-call rotation to monitor data flows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain a robust, efficient and compliant data pipeline architecture.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements to optimize data delivery.
• Build and maintain a service-based architecture for publication of data objects.
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to evolve the data environment.
• Support data-related issues with stakeholders and ensure data security and compliance.
• Define data standards, governance and metrics; ensure policy adoption enterprise-wide.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve data integration alerts and failures in on-call rotations.
