Bluelight, a leading software consultancy, is seeking a Data Engineer to design and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake, PySpark, and Azure cloud services. You will build robust ingestion workflows and collaborate with data architects to model enterprise data solutions.

Ideal candidates bring strong SQL skills, dimensional modeling experience, and a passion for data governance, security, and performance optimization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in CS/IT/Data Engineering.
• Proven experience building end-to-end data pipelines from REST APIs, databases, cloud storage, and flat files.
• Hands-on Snowflake experience with warehouses, streams, tasks, stages, Snowpipe, data sharing, performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL development for complex queries and large-scale workloads.
• Experience with dimensional modeling (star schemas, facts, dimensions).
• Familiarity with cloud data ecosystems, particularly Microsoft Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python (PySpark), Snowflake, and cloud-native tech.
• Build reliable data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
• Design and optimize Snowflake data platforms and warehousing solutions.
• Manage Snowflake objects and leverage virtual warehouses, data sharing, and time travel.
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to model logical and physical data schemas.
• Monitor pipelines, optimize SQL queries, and uphold data governance and security.
