Job summary

Orangepeople is seeking a Data Engineer to turn data into a strategic asset. You will design, build, test, and maintain data architectures and solutions to ensure data is secure, accessible, and reliable for informed decision-making.

You will investigate data issues, monitor metrics pipelines, and contribute to team knowledge via OP-Wiki while collaborating with account management and stakeholders. This role emphasizes proactive work and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and producing reliable data assets.
• Strong programming skills in Python used for data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Hive and ETL pipelines in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate rMetric errors to confirm fit as an actual error and identify root causes.
• Investigate expanding Nest metrics and classify components as widgets.
• Monitor Revenue reporting and rMetrics pipeline for SLA adherence and unblock Monday reporting.
• Address data quality issues such as fixing NULL segment values in Linked rMetrics.
• Pipeline maintenance and changes to improve performance and reliability.
• Participate in OP monthly team meetings and contribute to team-building efforts.
• Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
• Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
• Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
