Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement data pipelines powering analytics and data science workloads. You will work on modeling the Core Data Domain and support various access patterns.

This hands-on role requires strong SQL, Python ETL, cloud experience, and collaboration with data scientists and product teams. You will document pipelines and mentor junior engineers, contributing to a scalable data platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills and complex query development.
• Experience in Python for ETL pipelines.
• Experience deploying data pipelines in a cloud environment (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Knowledge of data governance best practices in a cloud environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with data scientists and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Model and optimize data schemas to support analytics and ML.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple sources.
• Tune performance with partitioning and clustering to reduce costs.
• Establish data quality standards and governance policies for data storage and access.
• Collaborate with data scientists to integrate with BI and ML models.
• Document pipelines and mentor junior data engineers.
• Architect data infrastructure for analytical workloads.
