Job summary

EXL is seeking a data-focused professional to interface with business stakeholders and lead the discovery of the current reporting and data landscape. You will translate requirements into a target pipeline design, develop end-to-end data pipelines in Python and SQL, and implement data quality, validation, and governance standards.

You will own UAT for new data assets, create rollout materials, and train analysts.

Qualifications

• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Strong focus on data quality, validation, and reconciliation.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Interface with business stakeholders to understand analytics needs and requirements.
• Lead discovery of current reporting and data landscape, inventory sources and metrics.
• Translate requirements into target pipeline design with data flow diagrams.
• Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Python and SQL (ETL/ELT).
• Build reusable Python libraries and parameterized pipelines for consistency.
• Define metric logic, lineage, validation tests, and governance documentation.
• Own UAT for new/changed data assets and provide pass/fail recommendations.
• Prepare rollout materials, runbooks, and training for analysts and users.
• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies and document design, code, and testing.
• Implement straight-through data product designs with data security measures.
