Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer for a 12-month contract position, based remotely. The role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines and ELT processes at scale.

The candidate will design ELT processes, develop multi-step data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, and write Python/PLSQL scripts while tuning SQL for performance. Experience with MongoDB, Cosmos DB, and VBA in Excel is highly valued. Knowledge of containerized ETL in Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proven track record of developing productive ELT processes.
• Experience building multi-step ELT jobs and robust data pipelines.
• Proficiency with Python and PL/SQL scripts.
• Deep knowledge of SQL tuning and optimization.
• Extensive experience with SQL databases.
• Experience with MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
• VBA scripting experience for data reporting and dashboarding in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop productive ELT processes with a proven track record of delivery.
• Build multi-step ELT jobs and robust data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory.
• Write and optimize Python and PL/SQL scripts for data processing and transformation.
• Tune and optimize SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
• Work with SQL databases and NoSQL platforms including MongoDB and Cosmos DB.
• Build data reporting and dashboarding solutions in Excel using VBA scripting.
• Support ETL workflows related to containerized applications deployed on Kubernetes environments.
