Job summary

You will build data warehouses with BigQuery, use dbt for data transformations, and collaborate with analytics engineers and data scientists to deliver reliable metrics. The role emphasizes DataOps, security, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS or related field recommended, not required.
• 5+ years of experience with SQL, BigQuery, Terraform, Apache Beam, Airflow, and GCP.
• Hands-on expertise with dbt and event-driven analytics highly desirable.
• Proven experience implementing and owning data warehouses end-to-end.
• Track record of data modeling for analytical use cases.
• Background empowering peers through DataOps best practices.
• Strong emphasis on data security and governance.
• Deep understanding of transactional vs. analytical databases.

Responsibilities

• Ingest data from Postgres, Google Cloud Storage, Jira, and analytics platforms into BigQuery and build data-marts with dbt.
• Define external data exchange: scalable inbound feeds and outbound reporting extracts.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs and improve data sharing with clients.
• Establish data quality and governance using dbt and provide metric definitions.
• Ensure security and compliance across data consumption and warehouse.
