Glocomms in the Greater Chicago Area is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and scale data platforms, focusing on data warehouse modernization, scalable pipelines, and BI capabilities to support analytics and business growth. This on-site role requires collaboration across teams and a strong data engineering background.

You will mentor engineers, drive data strategy, and ensure data quality while delivering reliable data solutions that empower decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of data engineering experience.
• 5+ years building enterprise ETL and data integration using Informatica, SSIS, Databricks, or similar technologies.
• Strong SQL development with complex query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience building and supporting large-scale data warehouse environments.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics technologies is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale data warehouse and BI solutions.
• Support data modernization initiatives leveraging cloud platforms, modern data architectures, and automation technologies.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that enable advanced analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineers, and analysts to develop, test, and deploy data solutions.
• Ensure data quality and reliability through code reviews, testing processes, and engineering best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other data engineers.
• Troubleshoot data issues and optimize performance across data platforms and applications.
