Responsibilities include designing data acquisition pipelines, building semantic layers, and ensuring high data quality across batch and real-time workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience working with data scientists and strategy analysts to model, sample, and analyze data downstream.
• Build programmatic ETL/ELT pipelines with SQL-based technologies and platforms.
• Solid understanding of databases and working with Salesforce data.
• Data governance, verification, and data documentation with current tools.
• Experience with Airflow and orchestration tools.
• Experience with Hadoop ecosystem and related frameworks.
• Version control systems (GitHub, Subversion) and CI/CD deployment experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and participate in roadmap discussions with data scientists and strategy leads.
• Translate analytical requirements into well-performing SQL and scalable data pipelines.
• Own data acquisition and integration projects from batch to real-time.
• Create design artifacts (data flow diagrams, models, schema contracts) for team review.
• Build data pipelines, curated marts, and semantic layers for analysts and ML teams.
• Design fact/dimension models and end-to-end infrastructure for data science work.
• Transform exploratory notebooks into production-ready data flows.
• Co-own data quality and trust with partners; establish shared conventions.
• Identify data quality gaps and advocate improvements for speed and reliability.
• Perform data profiling, sampling, and statistical testing.
