Qualifications

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, operate, and maintain scalable data analytics, BI, and reporting solutions.
Own end-to-end delivery including requirements clarification, data analysis, solution design, coding, testing, implementation, and production stability.
Build and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and data models.
Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, measures, and datasets.
Design OLAP and semantic models for trend analysis and executive reporting.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions with cross-functional partners.
Apply data governance, quality, lineage, and metadata practices with continuous improvement.
Contribute to Azure-based analytics solutions (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Analysis Services, Synapse, Data Lake).
Use AI-enabled tools for analysis, profiling, code generation, and documentation.

Job description

Design, develop, test, deploy, operate, and maintain scalable data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting solutions
Own end-to-end delivery, including requirements clarification, data analysis, solution design, coding, testing, implementation, user support, issue resolution, and production stability
Build and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, queries, data models, and reporting structures
Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reports, measures, and datasets
Design and support OLAP, dimensional, and semantic models for trend analysis, historical reporting, self-service analytics, KPI tracking, and executive reporting
Translate business requirements into technical solutions with product owners, analysts, engineers, architects, scrum masters, and business partners
Apply data engineering and reporting best practices, including data quality validation, reconciliation, lineage awareness, metadata documentation, performance tuning, and controlled releases
Contribute to Azure-based analytics solutions, including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, and Data Lake

Balance project delivery with run-the-business support, including incidents, defects, reconciliation issues, access concerns, refresh failures, and reporting discrepancies

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Five to six years of relevant experience in software development, data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, database reporting, or related technology roles
Hands-on experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, relational database design, query optimization, and production reporting or analytics solutions
Experience developing business intelligence reports, dashboards, data models, or analytics products using Power BI or comparable enterprise reporting tools
Working knowledge of Agile delivery practices and modern software development lifecycle principles
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small-team environment across business analysis, technical design, coding, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support
Advanced proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, report optimization, workspace practices, refresh strategies, and role-based security concepts
Strong experience with SQL Server reporting, analytics, and data integration patterns, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, stored procedures, indexing, query tuning, SSIS, ETL/ELT workflows, and SSRS or comparable frameworks
Experience designing, developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and modernizing SSIS packages
Experience designing OLAP, semantic, or analytical models
Familiarity with Azure data and analytics services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Data Lake, and Logic Apps
Ability to apply AI-centric practices and tools with responsible governance and human review
Understanding of data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, privacy, risk, security, and compliance in enterprise financial services
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical designs and communicate technical concepts clearly
Experience working in Agile teams with product owners, scrum masters, architects, developers, analysts, testers, and operations partners
Demonstrated ownership mindset, task prioritization, estimation, blocker communication, mentoring, and continuous improvement
Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, version control, automated testing, release management, monitoring, and production support
Financial services, banking, risk, compliance, payments, operations, or regulated-industry experience is a plus
Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week
