Jump Trading Group is seeking a seasoned software engineer to join the Core Data team. You will own and evolve the firm’s instrument and security master, delivering well-modeled reference data across asset classes and supporting research and trading workflows.

Applicants should have extensive Python experience, strong data modeling skills, and a track record with reference data in a Linux environment. This role offers a highly technical environment with mentorship and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong Python proficiency.
• 5+ years working on reference data or security master systems in an engineering capacity.
• Strong understanding of fundamental datasets and market data and data modelling practices.

Responsibilities

• Dig into technical details and understand end-user needs to implement streamlined data solutions.
• Maintain and evolve the firm’s instrument and security master with accurate reference data across asset classes.
• Design and maintain data models for core reference, fundamental, and market datasets.
• Collaborate with researchers and traders to deliver data optimized for research and trading workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and set data quality standards across the Core Data team.
