Job summary

Gigs is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to expand and optimize the company’s data platform that fuels billing, finance, product analytics, and decision-making. You’ll own data modeling, implement scalable pipelines, and work with modern cloud data tools to deliver reliable datasets.

You will collaborate across Finance, Network Integration, and Product teams, shaping architectural standards and ensuring data quality as the company scales globally.

Qualifications

• Designed and operated production data platforms with ingestion, storage, modeling and reliability.
• Strong data modeling fundamentals and ability to justify design choices.
• Able to balance speed and quality to deliver business value.

Responsibilities

• Build systems turning usage and operational data into trustworthy datasets for billing, finance, and product decisions.
• Operate the data platform and pipelines powering use cases.
• Integrate data from internal systems, third-party tools, and partners into one platform.
• Own data model governance across the warehouse and set standards for scaling data structures.
• Work with Python and SQL; Dagster as orchestrator; Terraform for infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Product, and Network Integration to deliver reliable data products.
• Design for correctness and observability; implement tests, monitoring, and data quality checks.
• Take problems from scoping to production and operate what you build.
