Job summary

Blue Orange Digital is seeking an experienced data engineer to design and implement scalable data platforms, including data lakehouses and data warehouses, for diverse enterprise clients. You will optimize data flows, build robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure governance and security across cloud-native environments.

You'll work with Python, SQL, and modern tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, and dbt, collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data engineering experience with scalable data platforms.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with modern cloud data architectures.
• Familiarity with Medallion Architecture and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy robust data platforms including lakehouses and warehouses.
• Automate operation with tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Implement and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestrate data jobs with Databricks and dbt.
• Design and maintain data models; utilize data virtualization tools if appropriate.
• Leverage cloud-native offerings for scalable data solutions and ensure governance.
• Build data pipelines and integrate with BI tools like Tableau/Looker/Power BI.
