Job summary

Jobtailor in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms. You’ll transform raw data with ETL/ELT processes and partner with clients to ensure high data quality and actionable insights.

You'll work with cloud-native tools such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Snowflake, and Databricks, building data models and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, analytics, or related technical role.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting (Python or similar).
• Hands-on ETL/ELT with Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Palantir Foundry).
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and data quality.
• Understanding of data integration, performance tuning, and data reliability.
• Ability to collaborate on fast-paced projects with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field; eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a bonus; certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud data platforms.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes to prepare data for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with team and clients to gather requirements and ensure data quality.
• Assist in developing data models and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift).
• Support dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or Tableau.
• Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment of data solutions.
• Engage with project workstreams and client delivery best practices.
