Job summary

Servco Pacific Inc. in Honolulu seeks a Data Engineer III to lead complex data engineering work for Hawaii Mobility. You will build and maintain reliable pipelines, make data available for analytics and AI, and mentor junior engineers.

The role reports to the Manager, Data Engineering within the Data Visualization, Analytics & Automation function. You’ll drive engineering delivery, implement governance, and partner with analytics, architecture, and business teams to deliver trusted data products

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
• 7+ years of data engineering experience with Python, SQL, integration, orchestration and data modeling.
• Hands-on Azure and Databricks experience including pipelines, testing and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code in production.
• Experience with dbt, containers, APIs, event integration, and cloud-native architecture is preferred.
• Mobility, distribution, or retail domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable, governed pipelines and data products.
• Translate business requirements into technical options, estimates, dependencies, risks, and plans.
• Drive technical initiatives through implementation, documentation, release, and production support.
• Design automated data quality tests, lineage, and validation to support AI evaluation.
• Mentor engineers, perform code reviews, and share knowledge with the team.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineers and Data Architects on trusted reporting and data products.
