Capital One seeks a Data Engineer 4 (Manager, IC) to drive cloud-first data solutions enabling scalable, secure data platforms. You will mentor teammates, collaborate with product managers and engineers, and deliver end-to-end data pipelines across lakehouse architectures using Python, Spark, and SQL.

The role emphasizes independent delivery, data security, and influencing cross-functional teams. Strong experience in distributed data and cloud platforms is required for this high-impact position.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• At least 4 years of experience in application development.
• At least 2 years of experience in distributed data.
• At least 2 years of experience with SQL.
• At least 2 years of experience with one programming language (Python, Java, or Scala).
• At least 2 years of experience in data pipeline design and development.
• At least 1 year of experience in data modeling using relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions.
• Influence a team of developers, data analysts and data scientists.
• Utilize Python and Spark and work with Databricks or Snowflake.
• Mentor other data community members and stay current with data trends.
• Design, build, and deliver cloud data solutions with minimal supervision.
• Architect common data engineering patterns for code quality and reuse.
• Communicate technical data concepts clearly to stakeholders.
