Job summary

Inca Digital, a veteran-owned data and intelligence company, is seeking a senior data engineer to design and run large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines and deliver production APIs and dashboards. You will work with diverse data sources across blockchains, exchanges, social networks, and more.

You will apply NLP/LLM methods for extraction and enrichment, enabling risk models and dashboards, while maintaining provenance and data quality in a remote, asynchronous environment.

Qualifications

• Advanced Python and SQL proficiency.
• Experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines with an orchestrator (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Step Functions).
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL/RDS and S3 storage.
• Experience delivering APIs and dashboards to consumers.
• Familiarity with Docker, Git, CI/CD, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines producing APIs and dashboards.
• Acquire data from diverse sources at scale (relational DBs, APIs, flat files, blockchain nodes, social/web text).
• Apply NLP/LLM-assisted processing for extraction, classification, deduplication, and enrichment.
• Model and query data across relational, graph stores (Neo4j) and objects.
• Ensure provenance, reproducibility, and data quality with lineage and freshness checks.
• Collaborate with Head of R&D, engineers, data scientists, and investigations team.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture through written design reviews.
