Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Software Engineer III to join a seasoned agile team delivering secure, scalable technology products. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot across multiple technical areas to support the firm’s objectives.

You will leverage AI-assisted tools within the SDLC to enhance code quality and productivity, and contribute to data-driven improvements while adhering to secure coding standards. This role emphasizes collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Required qualifications: formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Proficiency with large datasets and Spark across data platforms (Redshift, SQL DB, RDS, Databricks).
• Design, development and implementation of scalable data pipelines on AWS using Python for data tasks.
• Experience configuring AWS services (S3, Databricks, Step Functions, EMR, Glue, Lambda, RDS, EventBridge, API Gateway).

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to go beyond routine approaches.
• Produces secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms with systems integration.
• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity while ensuring correctness through reviews and tests.
• Applies SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation and value.
• Produces architecture/design artifacts for complex applications and ensures design constraints are met.
• Gathers and analyzes data to visualize and report for continuous software improvement.
• Identifies hidden data patterns and uses insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to engineering communities of practice and fosters inclusion.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion and respect.
