Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep Azure Databricks expertise to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and data products. You will collaborate with data viz, analytics, and data product teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality data solutions powering BI, ML, and AI-driven experiences.

This role emphasizes production-grade data systems, strong ownership, and adherence to design patterns, with a focus on reliability, observability, and platform health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 8+ years in data engineering/architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks (Azure) as primary platform in recent roles.
• Strong PySpark/Spark skills and performance tuning in Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable, production-grade data products focusing on usability and business outcomes.
• Own core data platform architecture, data pipelines, storage, and foundational data models within Databricks.
• End-to-end ownership of production data solutions: design, deployment, monitoring, incident response, RCA.
