Job summary

Pioneering Evolution is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and operate secure enterprise data solutions for the SyncPoint program in Arlington, VA. You will collaborate with software engineers, product teams, analysts, and AI/ML engineers to deliver reliable data pipelines, models, and services that enable DoD-compliant analytics and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in data engineering or related backend roles.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL, with performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure-based data platforms and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with C#/.NET for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain relational and analytical data models for DoD financial domains.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data integration and distribution.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Implement data validation, lineage, and governance processes.
• Collaborate with AI/ML and analytics teams to support RAG and data retrieval.
• Ensure secure handling and compliance in IL4 environments.
