Job summary

American Airlines is seeking a Data Engineer/Sr Data Engineer for the IT Analytics group at the DFW HQ in Fort Worth, TX. You will design and optimize analytics pipelines, migrate data using Azure services, and contribute to data governance and BI consumption in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Required 4+ years with SQL, Python, Spark and Azure, plus a BS in a technical field. Airline industry experience is a plus, with opportunity for leadership and Cloud-based data solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
4+ years building data solutions using agile and DevOps practices.
4+ years experience with SQL, Python and Spark.
4+ years experience with Cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

Design, implement and support analytics solutions with data source teams.
Build data migration and engineering solutions using Azure services and traditional data warehouses.
Lead multi-disciplinary development lifecycles including CI/CD, data modeling and production support.
Provide technical leadership within a team and collaborate in DevOps ownership.
