Job summary

You will be a core technical contributor, building data pipelines, models, and architectures, guiding best practices in data security and governance while collaborating with agile teams.

This role emphasizes hands-on engineering, Python, AWS, Databricks, and REST APIs to support strategic business objectives.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Databricks, PySpark, AWS, and creating ETL pipelines from scratch.
• 3+ years of experience in AWS services: Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, Secrets Manager, and storage services.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering and OOP with Python and Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, and Autosys.
• Strong understanding of REST API development using FASTAPI or equivalents.
• Advanced SQL (joins and aggregations).

Responsibilities

• Generates data models for their team using firmwide tooling, linear algebra, statistics, and geometrical algorithms.
• Delivers data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
• Implements database backup, recovery, and archiving strategy.
• Evaluates and reports on access control processes to determine effectiveness of data asset security with minimal supervision.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
