Job summary

Ampcus Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to help grow our Data Lake and Data Warehouse using a serverless AWS stack. You will join a diverse team of engineers and collaborate with AWS to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of data engineering experience, strong SQL and Python skills, and experience with data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and data modeling. Mentoring experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain automated ETL pipelines using Python, Spark, SQL and AWS services.
• Implement and support reporting and analytics infrastructure for internal business customers.
• Develop and maintain data security and permissions solutions for enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake implementations including data encryption and logging.
• Develop data objects for business analytics using data modeling techniques.
• Develop and optimize data warehouse and data lake tables using partitioning, compression, and parallelization.
• Maintain data warehouse and data lake metadata, data catalog, and user documentation for internal customers.
• Work with internal business customers and software teams to gather and document requirements for data publishing and consumption.
