YLD, a data-driven software consultancy, seeks a senior data engineer to lead hands-on delivery and shape data practice growth. You will work with client teams, guide pipelines, and set standards for testing and governance.

Based in the UK, you will travel to client sites as needed? and help build YLD's external reputation in data through events and writing. Remote-first with international scope.

Qualifications

• Extensive data engineering leadership with client exposure.
• Proven track record shipping production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python production experience.
• Ability to translate engineering constraints to business terms.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on data engineering and pipeline development for client projects.
• Guide data transformations, modelling choices, and governance.
• Lead and mentor data engineers; shape internal standards.
• Present technical strategy to clients and prospects
