Job summary

AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer (Analytics Specialist) to build robust data warehouse/marts/sets enabling informed business decisions.

You will leverage advanced SQL tools to move large data volumes and develop complex algorithms for analytics across the organization. The role requires 5–10 years of SQL/DAX/SSAS/SSIS experience, familiarity with SDLC, Git and Agile, and an undergraduate degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years minimum experience writing SQL, DAX, SSAS, and creating SSIS Packages.
• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle, Git, Agile.
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to align analytics data needs with organizational goals.
• Develops ETL processes to extract data from various sources and transform for analysis across AmTrust.
• Create data models and database schemas optimized for querying and analysis.
• Design validation and cleansing processing to ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Understand business processes across finance, operations, underwriting, sales, claims, and actuarial to generate insights.
• Work with IT resources to integrate data warehouse data, test reports, automate processes, and develop dashboards.
