Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to deliver full-stack data solutions across the entire data processing pipeline. You will design ETL processes, data models, security, backup, and recovery specifications, and work through all lifecycle stages from data analysis to analytics.

The role requires 10+ years in data engineering, 3+ years AI/ML support, and proficiency in Python/SQL/NiFi, plus experience with Spark or similar frameworks and SAFe Agile.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, including 3+ years supporting AI/ML systems
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data/system architecture
• Experience in gathering requirements and understanding business processes
• Strong proficiency in Python or NiFi or SQL
• Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark or similar)
• Hands‑on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines at scale
• Understanding of data security principles, including encryption, access control
• Familiar with Safe Agile framework

Responsibilities

• Deliver full-stack data solutions across the entire data processing pipeline.
• Design and implement data solutions by defining functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications.
• Work through all stages of a data solution lifecycle, e.g., analyze/profile data, create conceptual/logical/physical data model designs, architect and design ETL, reporting and analytics.
• Maintain data systems performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems.
