St. George Tanaq Corporation’s Tanaq Technical Services seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain data pipelines enabling AI/ML proofs of concept for HUD contracts.

This fully remote role is US-based and requires federal background screening and clearance. You will build AI/ML workflows on cloud platforms like AWS Bedrock and Azure OpenAI, implement scalable ETL/ELT processes, ensure data governance, and collaborate with data scientists to operationalize models while

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience for AI/ML workflows.
• Experience with cloud-native data platforms and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, reproducible workflows, and federal compliance.
• HUD OCIO experience preferred.
• Ability to pass required Federal background screening and obtain government clearance.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize data pipelines and architectures for AI/ML workflows on cloud platforms.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
• Configure and manage AI/ML-ready cloud infrastructure (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI).
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to operationalize models and enable scalable AI solutions.
• Implement data governance, versioning, and lineage tracking for compliance.
• Monitor and maintain high-performance data systems and optimize for throughput.
