Job summary

Inland Real Estate Group, LLC seeks a Senior Data Engineer to lead analytics within the Enterprise Analytics team. You will design data pipelines, semantic models, and certified datasets for enterprise reporting and AI-ready insights.

Work across investment management, finance, asset and property management to shape the analytics roadmap and govern data within the Azure ecosystem, including Copilot in Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/engineering/math/finance or related field.
• Master's degree in data science/analytics/finance preferred.
• 8+ years in BI/analytics engineering or related roles.
• 4+ years Power BI with semantic modeling & DAX.
• 3+ years in CRE, investments, private equity, or financial services.
• 2+ years API-based integrations & cloud data pipelines.
• Advanced Power BI and data visualization expertise.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL development skills.
• Dimensional modeling & enterprise data warehousing experience.
• REST & SOAP API integration development.
• Data governance, stewardship, quality & security practices.
• Experience with Copilot and AI-enabled analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics partner for Atlas Data Foundation Program.
• Collaborate with investment management, finance, asset & property mgmt.
• Shape analytics roadmap by evaluating data sources & APIs.
• Participate in architecture reviews and platform decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines.
• Build integrations with internal apps and third-party data providers.
• Create semantic models, dimensional layers, and reporting structures.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes and ensure data reliability & performance.
• Work within Microsoft/Azure ecosystem (Fabric, OneLake, Synapse, etc.).
• Design enterprise dashboards and governance-controlled self-service reporting.
• Prepare data models for AI-driven analytics and Copilot in Power BI.
