Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and AI-ready infrastructure for analytics and ML across a global real estate portfolio. You will own data end to end, from ingestion through gold data, collaborating with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

You’ll work on Data Management Platform integration, data governance, and observability while embracing an AI-forward mindset and best practices for reliability and production-grade

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional data engineering experience building and operating production data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills and data modeling experience for analytical and AI workloads.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with Airflow, Dagster, or Databricks Workflows.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Own initiatives end to end from ingestion to production handoff.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Develop and operate our Data Marketplace (DMP) on Databricks; ensure data quality and governance.
• Build and deploy AI-ready data models, feature stores, and real-time serving layers.
• Collaborate with data science and product teams to operationalize ML models.
