Job summary

McKinsey & Company seeks a senior engineering leader to join our capabilities team, combining full-stack engineering with advanced AI systems to deliver transformative client outcomes. You will design and build scalable, production-grade solutions spanning data pipelines, ML models, and modern application layers.

You will bridge technical and business teams, mentor stakeholders, and guide clients from problem framing to adoption and scaling, driving measurable ROI while upholding McKinsey's

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of software engineering or solution-architecture experience with complex systems.
• Deep expertise in full-stack development across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing AI solutions with data pipelines, model training and MLOps.
• Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization/orchestration.
• Strong deployment, observability, security principles for reliability and scalability.
• Experience mentoring teams and leading high-impact engagements.
• Effective communicator, able to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engagements bridging tech and consulting to drive ROI.
