Job summary

NextPath Workforce Solutions is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our client’s team remotely in a Direct Hire role. The ideal candidate will build scalable data pipelines and empower teams with clean, reliable datasets across Product, Risk, Finance, and Analytics.

You will work with Databricks, dbt, and cloud platforms (Azure or GCP), implement data quality checks, and optimize performance, cost, and reliability while collaborating with other engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Databricks including Delta Lake and Unity Catalog plus Apache Iceberg.
• Strong experience with dbt.
• Extensive experience designing and supporting streaming data solutions.
• Strong data modeling expertise.
• Understanding of data governance principles and practices.
• Experience with a major cloud platform, preferably Azure or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines that integrate applications, APIs, and vendor data into the data platform.
• Develop clean, reliable datasets for Product, Risk, Finance, Analytics, and other business teams.
• Use dbt and orchestration tools to transform and schedule scalable, repeatable data workflows.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, alerts, and freshness tracking to identify issues early.
• Improve platform performance, cost efficiency, and reliability while documenting solutions and supporting the development of other engineers.

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our client’s team remotely. This is a Remote Direct Hire position.

SALARY: $134,000 - $175,000 (depending on experience)
