Job summary

The Encompass Group is partnering with a rapidly growing digital healthcare organization to identify a Senior Data Engineer who will help build enterprise data in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You'll design scalable data pipelines, integrate diverse healthcare data sources, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into robust solutions, while mentoring engineers across U.S. and offshore teams. This role emphasizes Azure technologies and data governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of database and ETL development experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Azure Data Factory experience.
• Advanced SQL Server and T-SQL expertise.
• Experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and data architecture.
• 1–2+ years of Python experience for automation or data transformation.
• Experience within healthcare or another highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to healthcare EDI transactions, data warehousing, AI/LLM initiatives, or enterprise data architecture is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, and Python.
• Integrate data from EMRs, healthcare systems, HRIS platforms, CRMs, financial systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Build a scalable data architecture that improves data quality, accessibility, governance, and performance.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
• Support AI-driven initiatives involving data extraction, automation, and emerging technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers while collaborating with both U.S.-based and offshore development teams.
