Job summary

Happy Global seeks a Senior Data Engineer for the US market to design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse and processing infrastructure for Bambu Lab’s U.S. operations.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and global teams to deliver reliable data solutions while ensuring compliance with CCPA and GDPR, and you will guide data governance initiatives across cross-border projects. The role is onsite in the United States with strong growth prospects.

Qualifications

The Senior Data Engineer – US will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data warehouse and data processing infrastructure supporting Bambu Lab’s U.S. business operations. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and global data engineering teams to develop reliable data solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable U.S. and global data privacy requirements.

Description

• Lead the design and end-to-end development of offline data warehouse systems, including layered data modeling, pipeline development, and data governance.
• Build and maintain scalable data processing pipelines and warehouse architectures that ensure data accuracy, consistency, availability, and long-term operational stability.
• Develop deep domain knowledge across business functions and translate business requirements into scalable, domain-aligned data warehouse solutions.
• Design data models and architecture that support diverse analytical and operational requirements across internal business units.
• Develop and optimize offline and real-time data processing solutions using modern big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks.
• Partner with Bambu Lab’s China-based data engineering team on regional data requirements, deployment, operational maintenance, and technical coordination.
• Implement and maintain data governance and privacy controls to ensure cross-border data collaboration complies with applicable regulations, including CCPA and GDPR.
• Drive continuous improvements in data platform stability, scalability, maintainability, and engineering efficiency.

Profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience in data warehouse modeling, development, and data pipeline engineering.
• Strong experience with both offline and real‑time data processing.
• Solid expertise within modern big data ecosystems, including technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Iceberg, and Flink.
• Practical software development experience using Java, Scala, and/or Python.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple technology stacks to build scalable and reliable data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and the ability to translate complex business requirements into structured, scalable, and maintainable data models.
• Strong data intuition and business acumen, with the ability to design data solutions that support both analytical and operational use cases.
• Strong logical reasoning, prioritization, ownership, and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced technology environment.
• Working knowledge of U.S. and global data privacy frameworks, particularly CCPA and GDPR.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States or eligibility for employer-sponsored work authorization. Bambu Lab is willing to support qualified candidates requiring H-1B sponsorship or H-1B transfer.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building enterprise-scale or multi-domain data warehouse architectures.
• Strong hands‑on experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Spark and Flink.
• Experience with modern data lake or lakehouse architectures, including Apache Iceberg or similar technologies.
• Experience working within a global or cross-border engineering organization.
• Experience supporting business‑critical data systems within a high‑growth technology, e‑commerce, or product‑driven environment.

Base Salary: $250,000–$400,000 USD annually.
