Actively working with a leading global investment firm with a legacy of success for over four decades. They are considered pioneers in the private equity industry and have evolved into a diverse, multi-asset class investment powerhouse. This firm is seeking a Senior Data Scientist who will play a crucial role in leveraging data and analytics to inform investment decisions, optimize operational processes, and drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build on a scalable ML-based platform that will conduct diligence on various private investment deals.
• Build data visualizations and present findings to various technical teams and leadership teams within the firm.
• Use robust analytics to support the firm’s portfolio companies in customer, market, and consumer analytics.
• Will oversee offshore resources and provide direction on project work
• Work with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI to create actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computational Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science required.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, data science, machine learning, or related fields.
• Ideal candidate should have extensive experience with AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) along with LLMs, embeddings, NLP including the ability to evaluate and prototype solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Must have experience working with SQL and data pipeline technologies.
• Experience working in a Snowflake ecosystem.
• Ideal candidate should have extensive experience with AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning).
• Working experience within the financial services and/or private equity space.
