Job summary

WhiteWaterExpressCarWash is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Houston to design and build scalable data solutions that turn complex business data into actionable insights. You will own critical data infrastructure, pipelines, integrations, and data warehouses that support operations, analytics, and growth.

You will collaborate with Data Analysts and business leaders to build reliable systems, improve data accessibility, and solve challenging problems across a multi-location organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years of hands-on data engineering experience
• Strong experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Deep understanding of database management, SQL optimization, analytics and warehousing
• Experience with PHP, Node.js, JavaScript, Python, and C#
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and API design

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT, and related tools
• Build and manage data integrations and APIs across business systems
• Optimize Snowflake, MySQL, and SQL Server databases and data models
• Orchestrate and monitor workflows using Airflow or similar platforms
• Integrate data from on-site systems, cloud apps, and third-party platforms
• Implement data quality, security, access controls, and governance practices
• Partner with Data Analysts to improve reporting and data accessibility
• Use Git and CI/CD to support reliable development and deployment
• Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or DigitalOcean
• Troubleshoot complex data and system issues and continuously improve data infrastructure
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship in shaping long-term data strategy
