Job summary

Saige Partners in Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead a Supply Chain Data Engineering team and build trusted data solutions that support planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and transportation.

You will modernize enterprise data platforms, develop scalable pipelines and data models, and partner with business and technology teams to deliver data that informs analytics and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience with SQL and enterprise data platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience building data pipelines using Python and/or modern ETL/ELT tools.
  • Strong experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, semantic models, and analytical data structures.
  • Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and managing cross-functional initiatives.

  • Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Improve data quality, governance, metadata, and observability.
  • Drive data modernization initiatives and reduce technical debt.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead a Supply Chain Data Engineering team and build trusted data solutions that support planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and transportation.

You will help modernize enterprise data platforms, develop scalable pipelines and data models, and partner with business and technology teams to deliver data that supports analytics and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data engineers.
  • Design and deliver data pipelines, curated data assets, dimensional models, and semantic models.
  • Build and support data solutions across cloud and legacy platforms.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Establish best practices for data modeling, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Improve data quality, governance, metadata, and observability.
  • Drive data modernization initiatives and reduce technical debt.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience with SQL and enterprise data platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience building data pipelines and integrations using Python and/or modern ETL/ELT tools.
  • Strong experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, semantic models, and analytical data structures.
  • Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes such as planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, logistics, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Experience with data quality, monitoring, observability, and production support.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer and not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Composer/Airflow, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or Data Fusion.
  • Experience with Incorta, Oracle Analytics Server, AtScale, Cube, or similar analytics/semantic platforms.
  • Experience with Oracle data warehouses, Informatica, PL/SQL, and advanced SQL performance tuning.
  • Experience with enterprise data governance, metadata, data quality, and business glossaries.
  • Experience modernizing cloud and legacy data environments.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, Supply Chain, logistics, or related industries.
