DataArt is seeking a Senior Data Designer to bridge business and engineering, leading requirements workshops and turning insights into governed, well-documented data platform designs. You’ll shape ingestion design, transformations, and data harmonization while collaborating with stakeholders and platform teams.

You will contribute to source systems analysis, design reviews, and ensure designs meet data governance and privacy standards in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Strong foundations in dimensional modeling and able to justify design choices.
• Hands-on experience producing source-to-target mapping documentation.
• Understanding of data platform layering and data load approaches.
• Proficient SQL for data profiling and validation.
• Strong written and spoken English; adept at gathering requirements from stakeholders.
• Attention to detail in governed environments with reviews and design standards, including data privacy/PII classification.

Responsibilities

• Design and document Enterprise Data Warehouse objects: data models, mappings, diagrams, and supporting design docs for engineers.
• Onboard new data sources by working with stakeholders and SMEs and adapt designs accordingly.
• Clarify requirements upfront: why needed and whether current structures suffice.
• Profile and analyze source data to validate design assumptions.
• Define data quality rules to guide downstream implementation.
• Investigate data issues, identify root causes, and propose design-level fixes.
• Lead peer and design reviews and communicate updates to stakeholders.
