Job summary

Trility Consulting LLC seeks an experienced Senior Data Consultant to modernize an Azure Synapse data platform and migrate prioritized workloads to Microsoft Fabric. You will partner with client engineers and Trility consultants to design scalable data pipelines, validate migrations, and establish automated CI/CD workflows for Fabric artifacts.

The role is remote (W2) across the United States, with flexible hours and an emphasis on collaboration, governance, and AI-assisted development using

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Azure data services (Fabric, ADF, Databricks or Synapse).
• Hands-on Fabric production experience including lakehouses, pipelines and notebooks.
• Strong delivery of production ETL/ELT pipelines and reusable ingestion frameworks.
• Metadata-driven ingestion design with config-based onboarding.
• Spark notebooks and data transformation using PySpark/Spark SQL.
• Experience designing Git-based CI/CD workflows for data platforms.
• Hands-on Claude Code for AI-assisted development and code review.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and refine the Microsoft Fabric architecture, including metadata structures and ingestion patterns.
• Design metadata-driven ingestion framework enabling config-based onboarding.
• Migrate prioritized data sources and workloads from Azure Synapse into Fabric.
• Develop and orchestrate Fabric pipelines and Spark notebooks (PySpark, Spark SQL).
• Analyze Synapse pipelines to translate processing logic into Fabric solutions.
• Build data validation and reconciliation processes for migration accuracy.
• Implement Git-based CI/CD and environment promotion for Fabric artifacts.
• Leverage Claude Code to guide implementation and review AI-generated code.
• Assess data governance, lineage, and catalog considerations (Purview).
• Apply best practices in performance, testing, monitoring, security, and ops.
