Job summary

TechDigital Group in Boston, MA is hiring a backend data platform engineer to lead and implement the Data Issues Remediation Platform. You will act as a hands-on architect and work closely with Santander teams to define technical solutions and ensure scalable cloud-native delivery.

The role requires deep Python/Java coding, AWS knowledge, and experience with DevOps, Jira, Snowflake, and Devin. You will guide UI developers, improve CI/CD, and advance secure SDLC practices in a fast-paced project.

• Proven experience building data remediation platforms.
• Strong coding skills in Python and Java.
• Experience with cloud services and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and implementation of the Data Issues Remediation Platform.
• Act as a hands-on architect while remaining actively involved in coding and solution delivery.
• Partner with Santander architects and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions while balancing scalability, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.
• Mentor and provide technical direction to the UI developer assigned to the project.
• Utilize Devin as the primary software engineering accelerator across design, development, testing, and code review activities.
• Drive adoption of agentic software engineering practices where appropriate.
• Leverage AI-assisted development workflows to improve delivery velocity and engineering quality.
• Establish engineering practices for automated code generation, code reviews, testing, and documentation using Devin.
• Design and implement integrations across enterprise platforms and remediation data sources.
• Develop APIs and services to consolidate remediation data into the target state platform.
• Integrate data from systems such as Jira, Snowflake, Internal remediation repositories
• Governance and reporting platforms
• Ensure reliable data movement, orchestration, and synchronization across systems.
• Design and develop cloud-native solutions on AWS.
• Build scalable backend services using Python
• Support deployment and operations across AWS services including: ECS/EKS, API Gateway, Lambda, S3 & Containerized workloads
• Collaborate with Santander cloud and infrastructure teams to ensure production readiness.
• Work closely with Santander DevOps teams while maintaining ownership of engineering automation.
• Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive release automation and platform deployment efficiency.
• Support infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation initiatives.
• Improve release processes to significantly reduce onboarding and deployment timelines.
• Implement Secure SDLC practices across the application lifecycle.
• Embed security controls into development and release pipelines.
• Establish automated testing frameworks and quality gates.
