Job summary

Disney seeks a Senior Systems Administrator in Tallahassee to oversee the WDAS Server Farm, hardware, servers, capacity hubs, and render equipment. You will collaborate across teams to support updates, investigations, and large-scale installations.

The role requires experience with Linux/macOS, Windows, Isilon/Qumulo/NetApp storage, and virtualization (VMware, KVM, Kubernetes, Docker). Strong communication and adaptability are essential in a dynamic data‑center environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in large PC-room or enterprise infrastructure organization.
• Solid experience with Linux and macOS systems.
• Knowledge of Windows environments.
• Familiarity with scale‑out file systems such as Isilon, Qumulo, and NetApp.
• Experience with virtualization platforms including VMware, KVM, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Comprehensive understanding of data‑center design, implementation, operations, monitoring, and security.
• Experience with backup/recovery solutions such as NetBackup, Bareos, Quantum, and LTO.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Stay updated on WDAS Server Farm hardware, servers, capacity hubs, and render equipment.
• Collaborate to plan and perform support, updates, and investigations of frameworks in the Server Farm.
• Assist in installation projects including large substitutions and expansions of gear.
• Help develop financial planning for server purchases and upgrades.
• Maintain runbooks for Server Farm cycles and disaster-recovery plans.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and file processes for core information.
• Design strategies to move data between capacity clusters.
• Archive and report on capacity metrics.
• Monitor and track inventory of frameworks, parts, and devices.
