Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Supplier Development Engineer, Data Center (Starlink) to drive supplier selection, hardware design collaboration, and system-level data center integration.

This role partners with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to enable high-performance, reliable data center infrastructure. You will own rack-level solution design, lead FMEA sessions, and push for continuous improvements across PDUs, cooling, and high-density compute environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field.
• 2+ years in data center hardware design or manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier integration and PPAP/FAI reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data center hardware and processes from first principles.
• Own rack-level solutions across mechanical, electrical, power, thermal, networking, and software.
• Lead RAS integration to ensure uptime and reliability.
• Design rack-level integrations including PDUs, cooling, airflow, and high-density compute.
• Develop validation plans: burn-in, ESS, ORT.
