Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced field quality lead for data center projects in Texas. The role focuses on overseeing installation quality, inspecting structured cabling and infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with quality standards across active construction sites.

The candidate will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams, participate in meetings, and sign off on completed work areas to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years in structured cabling/telecommunications infrastructure.
• Fiber installation, splicing, testing, and termination experience.
• Data center, mission critical, or large commercial infrastructure experience.
• Strong understanding of construction workflows and quality processes.
• Ability to read project schedules and understand project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation quality on Google data center projects and inspect cabling, fiber, pathways, and infrastructure installations.
• Identify quality issues and construction constraints before they impact schedule.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field teams; participate in contractor and project meetings.
• Ensure adherence to IES quality standards and gating processes; sign off on completed work areas before construction progresses.
• Help train and develop field personnel; monitor project progress, documentation, and compliance efforts.
