Job summary

Experis is seeking a Procurement Specialist 5 in Columbus, OH to lead sourcing strategies for defined categories and engage senior stakeholders. The role oversees the sourcing process, manages materials/reports for management, and delivers procurement guidance across business areas.

The candidate should bring 10+ years of purchasing experience, with expertise in data center construction and long lead procurement, plus strong MS Office and Power BI skills. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

Qualifications

• Procurement: PO management, RFQ/RFP execution, cost analysis.
• Microsoft tools including Word/Excel for documentation and analysis.
• Data analysis and reporting using Power BI.
• 10+ years of direct purchasing experience.
• Experience with data center construction and long lead items.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical equipment procurement.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to define and implement category strategies and sourcing plans.
• Understand business drivers and align procurement with strategy.
• Serve as subject matter expert on procurement policies and best practices.
• Lead key sourcing activities, ensure timely delivery and budgeting with risk controls.
• Develop and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers; identify new partners.
• Monitor compliance with sourcing processes and act as internal consultant.
• Develop category strategies, pipelines, and long-term sourcing plans.
