Job summary

TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to transform system one-line designs into detailed electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and panel layouts for data center power distribution.

The role includes component selection, developing specifications, and coordinating with Mechanical, Power Systems, and Controls Engineers to ensure UL/NEC compliance and FAT/SAT testing. Strong collaboration across teams and field support are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of related work experience
• Master's degree preferred for enhanced credentials
• 5+ years of LV/MV power distribution or switchgear/UPS design experience
• Strong knowledge of NEC, UL standards, and industrial control panels
• Proficiency with CAD/Visio for electrical schematics and wiring documentation
• 3–5 years of experience applying applicable industry standards
• Experience with data center power distribution or modular power systems preferred
• Familiarity with protective relays and electrical communication protocols preferred

Responsibilities

• Translate system one-line diagrams into detailed three-line diagrams, wiring schematics and panel layouts
• Select, size and specify components based on load, fault levels and project specs
• Prepare specifications, datasheets and equipment schedules for procurement
• Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers on layouts, cable routing, clearances and heat management
• Support PLC/Controls Engineers with I/O lists and wiring termination details
• Assist FAT/SAT testing, troubleshooting and field remedial actions
• Review vendor drawings and submittals for UL/NEC compliance
• Participate in design reviews and resolve electrical design issues
• Support testing activities and customer technical reviews
• Represent TECO-Westinghouse in technical conferences and with customers
