Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking an experienced Facilities Technician in Norwalk, CT to support 24/7/365 data center operations. Under the Sr Facility Manager, you will perform maintenance and operations, ensure reliability of critical load, and coordinate with contractors for safe, compliant work.

The role requires journeyman skills in electrical/mechanical HVAC/R, a related degree or training, and 7–10 years of data center O&M experience. Proficiency with CMMS and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Journeyman level skills in electrical, mechanical, HVAC/R.
• Associate degree or HVAC/R training accepted in lieu of degree.
• 7–10 years in Tier 2–4 Data Center operations or related O&M roles.
• Experience with Work Order Control procedures and CMMS.
• Experience with subcontractor and vendor contract management.
• experience with KPI management and capacity reporting.
• Ability to use hand tools and test equipment; journeyman level electrical/mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to respond to alarms and stabilize operations with OEM support as needed.
• Proficient with Windows-based software (MS Word/Excel).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned tasks in DC O&M program under Sr Facility Manager.
• Follow building operations rules and CMMS processes.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for maintenance/work projects.
• Respond to alarms prioritizing critical load preservation.
• Implement equipment modifications safely and document changes.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and regulatory compliance.
• Learn new product skills quickly and manage multiple projects.
